Overview

Liberty Ambulance Service was founded in 1984 by Robert and Jackie Assaf, who identified a need for high quality medical transportation services in the North Florida area. Starting out with just 2 ambulances and 7 employees, Liberty Ambulance has grown into one of the largest EMS providers . They are currently the ONLY remaining Jacksonville born and bred, family operated ambulance company remaining in the Northeast Florida area. They take great pride in being there to help their neighbors in their time of need, neighbors that have lived next to and worked with for the last 40 years.

    My experience with Liberty has been quite pleasant. They have expressed compassion for my circumstances, while perhaps not good for their immediate business, have worked with me on payment of services. Everyone I have dealt with has been very patient and pleasant and I for one appreciate their mercy and kindness during a difficult time. I hope people who share these types of experiences will also leave a review. I understand no one gets it right 100% of the time, but all too often, when it goes awry those are the reviews that are quick to be posted.     This company is the most kind ambulance service I've ever encountered. The drivers are kind, caring and friendly. The owner was super understanding when we were surprised by the doctor's office, upon arriving for my mom's appt, said that the drivers had to stay with us throughout the entire appt. A quick call to their boss and he said " no worries, they can stay!" I would highly recommend them. I definitely would use them again. Thank you for your service!

    I would like to say thank you to the 2 gentlemen that escorted me from baker to St. Vincent south side. I think one of their last name was young blonde hair. They made me feel special and they took good care of me. I can tell that they love their job and that my friend is very rare. The guys need a raise like seriously. Thank you guys hopefully you get to read this. Stay safe out there.
