Hello Doctor,
I’ve been experiencing several concerning symptoms over the past week. I have persistent back pain that doesn't seem to go away, along with swelling in my feet. I've also been having a hard time breathing, which is quite distressing. On top of all that, I feel extremely tired, much more than usual. I’m worried about what might be causing these symptoms and what I should do next. Could you please provide some guidance on this?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
The combination of back pain, swelling in your feet, difficulty breathing, and increased fatigue can indeed be concerning. While I can’t diagnose you without a thorough examination, these symptoms could potentially be related to cardiopulmonary issues, among other conditions.
In the meantime, here are a few basic pieces of advice that might help you manage your symptoms:
Stay Hydrated: Ensure you drink plenty of fluids, as dehydration can exacerbate fatigue and swelling.
Rest: Allow yourself adequate rest and avoid strenuous activities that might worsen your back pain or breathing difficulties.
Elevate Your Feet: When sitting or lying down, try to elevate your feet to reduce swelling.
Monitor Symptoms: Keep track of any changes in your symptoms, such as the severity of your pain or breathing difficulties. This information can be helpful for your healthcare provider.
Practice Deep Breathing: Gentle deep breathing exercises may help improve your lung capacity and reduce feelings of breathlessness.
Thanks
