Hello Doctor,
I'm having ear pain in my left ear. It just hurts, and it's been hurting since Thursday. I haven't had any fever, but the pain is constant. It feels worse when I move my jaw or touch my ear. I haven't noticed any discharge, but there’s some pressure inside. What could be causing this, and what should I do?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
1. It sounds like you may have an ear infection, possibly otitis externa (commonly known as swimmer’s ear) or otitis media. Ear infections can cause pain, pressure, and discomfort, especially if they persist for several days. Since your symptoms have been ongoing since Thursday, it’s important to get it checked to determine the exact cause.
2. A consultation will allow for a proper evaluation, and if needed, I can provide a prescription for antibiotic ear drops or other appropriate treatment to help relieve your pain and clear the infection. Book a consultation now to get the right care and start feeling better soon.
Thanks
