Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I have some concerns regarding morning erections. Over the past six months, I haven’t been experiencing morning erections. I’m currently 26 years old and will be getting married within the next six months. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

1. Morning erections are a normal physiological occurrence, but it's true that they can become less frequent as we age.

2. At 26, it's still quite normal to experience them, but their frequency can vary due to many factors, including stress, sleep patterns, and overall health.

3. The absence of morning erections for a period of time isn't necessarily a cause for concern.

4. However, if you're experiencing other symptoms like erectile dysfunction, changes in libido, or if you have concerns about your health, it would be a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying conditions.

Thanks
