Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I am experiencing frequent small panic attacks accompanied by intense fear, rapid heartbeat, and shortness of breath. My anxiety levels are extremely high, making it difficult to focus and manage daily tasks. I often have episodes where my vision suddenly goes black for brief moments, along with frequent headaches ranging from mild to severe. My overall body functioning feels very low, with persistent fatigue and weakness, making routine activities challenging. Additionally, I am struggling with recurring suicidal thoughts and an overwhelming sense of hopelessness.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

You appear to be having panic spells. If there is an accompanying fear of impending spells, you may need medication in combination with cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). Should these spells subside, analyzing what triggered them and understanding their cause will help you manage and prevent similar experiences in the future.

Thanks
